Description

You will execute complex mechanical design and analysis tasks for gas turbine rotors, managing the full lifecycle from CAD modeling to finite element analysis and defect evaluation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute 2D and 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses using Ansys.
• Perform post-processing for LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, and bolted joint behavior summaries.
• Manage CAD models by pulling from PLM and editing in Siemens NX.
• Document analytical results to support defect evaluation.
• Automate routine engineering tasks using Python.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling with Siemens NX.
• Experience with Ansys Finite Element Analysis.
• Knowledge of Fracture Mechanics Analysis.
• Expertise in Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) analysis.
• Understanding of Rotor Design principles.
• Python Automation skills.
