Mechanical Design Engineer

You will design electro-mechanical products and enclosures for telecom and networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal and plastic enclosures using Creo Mechanical Design software.
• Produce manufacturing documentation incorporating GD&T and 1D, 2D, and 3D tolerance methods.
• Develop products within the constraints of press brake, stage, and progressive hard tooling processes.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Safety, EMC/EMI, SI, and Manufacturing Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Expertise in sheet metal design and electro-mechanical product design.
• Proficiency in Creo Mechanical Design software.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including press brake and hard tooling.
• Experience with tolerance analysis and bi-lateral tolerance methods.
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI design constraints and PCB layout requirements for enclosures.
• Ability to perform IDF data translation between ECAD and Creo software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
• Strong technical communication skills in English.

• Experience designing telecom equipment and networking products.
