Description

You will lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects, managing the full lifecycle from field surveys through construction close-out.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for complex projects.
• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details.
• Manage multiple projects through concept, SD, DD, and CA phases while controlling budgets and schedules.
• Lead team members, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with architecture and other engineering disciplines.
• Interface directly with clients, manage business development, and respond to RFI/RFP documents.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 12+ years of professional experience in mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design.
• 7-10 years of field experience in heavy commercial, industrial, government, healthcare, or education sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Experience with HAP, Trace, or similar HVAC and plumbing/fire protection design software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Navisworks for coordination and analysis.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

Preferred Skills

• LEED Accredited Professional with experience in green rating systems.
• Experience leading commissioning, energy audits, and renewable energy projects.
