Lead chassis and mechanical system design for next-generation datacenter platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design datacenter-grade chassis and subcomponents, ensuring structural integrity, modularity, and manufacturability.
• Simulate airflow using CFD to optimize thermal performance via fans, ducts, baffles, and cooling solutions.
• Optimize layouts for cable routing, power subsystem integration, and component mounting.
• Collaborate with electrical and systems teams to define mechanical interfaces for PCBs, SSDs, and PSUs.
• Support physical prototyping via CNC or 3D printing and coordinate vibration, shock, and thermal testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience designing datacenter or server chassis (2U–6U preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD tools: SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
• Strong background in thermal and structural analysis, including CFD and FEA.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFX, rapid prototyping, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with rack standards, server packaging, and airflow optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience ensuring designs meet regulatory standards like UL, CE, and RoHS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with liquid cooling or high-power thermal solutions.
• Familiarity with EMC compliance in mechanical design.
• Prior work on high-density compute, storage, or networking enclosures.
