Description

You will own the mechanical design and development of aerospace prototypes and production units through the full lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace prototypes and production units from detailed design to manufacturing.
• Maintain existing product designs and manage changes caused by component end-of-life or material obsolescence.
• Perform detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, documentation, HALT testing, and tooling/fixture support.
• Create 2D drawings for all components and assemblies and produce design validation documentation.
• Conduct hands-on product testing and coordinate with Electrical and Software Engineers to deliver multidisciplinary design solutions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 0-3 years of mechanical design experience in an aerospace or military environment.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, injection molded plastics, metal extrusions, and die casting.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software.
• Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and documentation for internal and customer use.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with engineers and suppliers.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with FAA or aerospace design requirements.
