Description

You will own mechanical engineering project requirements for complex system design and structural implementation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design components and assemblies subject to high force and stress.
• Perform system analysis including stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, and tolerance studies.
• Execute structural calculations, acceleration force analysis, and load calculations.
• Develop detailed drawings for mechanical designs, assemblies, and installation procedures.
• Manage system installation, check-out support, and start-up assistance.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, heavy manufacturing, or amusement park ride design.
• Proven experience designing components and assemblies under extreme force and stress.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, components, and stress analysis.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
• Knowledge of ride system design requirements including guest accelerations, reach envelope, ingress/egress, and weight.
• Ability to perform emergency evacuation analysis and implementation for control system failures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of amusement ride safety standards (ASTM Standards).
