Description

You will evaluate and report the impact of part or sub-system changes on elevator system envelopes. You will develop dimensional studies, 3D models, performance studies, and cost-benefit analyses. You will collect elevator requirements from stakeholders and decompose them into sub-system specifications. You will interface with supply chain, field operations, marketing, and factory support to ensure requirements are met. You will participate in product support using root cause analysis, DFMEA, and DFM. You will implement engineering change notices and manage the engineering implementation process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate changes to elevator system envelopes and report impacts.
• Develop dimensional studies, 3D models, and performance envelopes (duty tables).
• Decompose stakeholder requirements into specific sub-system specifications.
• Interface with multiple value streams to ensure requirement fulfillment.
• Implement engineering change notices and manage the implementation process.

Required Skills

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience, or MS with 4 years.
• Strong 3D modeling and interface analysis skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layouts and studies.
• Experience with Creo for mechanical and system modeling.
• Sound background in mechanical design and component modeling.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, DFMEA, and DFM.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
