Description

Evaluate and report impacts of part or sub-system changes on elevator system envelopes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop dimensional studies, 3D models, performance studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Collect elevator requirements from stakeholders and decompose them into sub-system specifications.
• Interface with supply chain, field operations, marketing, and factory support to ensure requirements are met.
• Participate in product support using root cause analysis, DFMEA, and DFM.
• Implement engineering change notices and manage the engineering implementation process.

Required Skills

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience, or MS with 4 years.
• Strong 3D modeling and interface analysis skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layouts and studies.
• Experience with Creo for mechanical and system modeling.
• Solid background in mechanical design and component modeling.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, DFMEA, and DFM.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cost-benefit analyses in engineering contexts.
• Background in elevator or similar complex mechanical systems.
