Description

Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components for hydronic boilers. You will own the release pipeline from simulation to regulatory approval.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components including heat exchangers, combustion chambers, pumps, valves, and controls.
• Conduct simulations and calculations to optimize component performance, efficiency, and durability.
• Create 3D models and engineering drawings while managing detailed layouts, prints, and bills of materials.
• Develop non-routine test methods, instrumentation, and procedures to verify product safety and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams in maintaining DFMEAs and assisting with PFMEAs and Process Control Plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in hydronic boilers or similar heating systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks or Creo for 3D modeling.
• Experience with regulatory approval agency requirements such as UL, ANSI/ASHRAE, AHRI, or CSA.
• Strong understanding of combustion, heat transfer, and hydronics principles.
• Experience in appliance design and knowledge of control theory.
• Working knowledge of project management and product lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of ERP systems like JD E or PLM systems such as Propel/Windchill.
