Description

Lead mechanical engineering workstreams for integrating sensors and actuators onto soft goods substrates for wearable hardware. Manage the full product development cycle from initial concept through to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering workstreams for sensor and actuator integration onto soft goods substrates.
• Partner with cross-functional researchers and engineers to develop wearable architectures for AR/VR interaction.
• Manage the full product development cycle from initial concept through to production.
• Deliver mechanical designs through component and system level modeling and optimization.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling using NX.
• 3+ years of experience working on high-volume consumer products.
• Hands-on experience with physical prototyping and manufacturing techniques such as machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
• Proficiency in DOE and DFSS.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent design experience.
• Experience with product design and prototyping.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of product design, prototyping, and R&D experience with subsystem ownership.
• Experience developing designs for wearable technologies, including sensors, materials, and haptics.
• 2+ years of experience designing handheld and wearable electronics for high-volume manufacturing.
