Description

Design and develop exterior systems and body components for trucks and buses.

You will create parametric CAD data in UG/NX, produce 2D drawings, and execute part feasibility studies covering manufacturing, joining, and fastening methods. You will manage project timelines, develop design requirements using DRD, DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP, and DSAO standards, and drive cost reduction while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create parametric CAD data in UG/NX and produce 2D drawings.
• Execute part feasibility studies for manufacturing processes and joining methods.
• Develop design requirements following DRD, DFMEA, DVP, and DSAO standards.
• Manage project timelines and participate in cross-functional team reviews.
• Drive cost reduction and weight target adherence.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in UG/NX for parametric CAD data creation.
• Hands-on experience with washer bottles, wiper systems, cowl trays, and mirrors.
• Expertise in plastic part design for OEM exterior systems.
• Knowledge of mold design and manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with composite manufacturing including SMC, FRP, and plastics.
• Working knowledge of lightweight materials such as Metton and carbon fibers.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, vehicle architecture, and CAE test load cases.
• Ability to work at client sites and accommodate customer shift schedules.
