Description

You will design, implement, and optimize chilled water systems for mission-critical data center operations in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of chilled water systems for new builds and expansions, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping.
• Oversee the complete design and construction process, managing permitting and system integration with electrical and other mechanical systems.
• Manage maintenance schedules and troubleshoot chilled water issues to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
• Analyze and forecast cooling needs based on IT loads while implementing energy efficiency strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to manage major infrastructure projects from conception through commissioning.

Required Skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
• 7+ years of experience in data center operations with a focus on chilled water systems.
• Expertise in HVAC design and construction, specifically chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit for design documentation.
• Deep understanding of industry standards including ASHRAE and ANSI.
• Experience managing permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale data center infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
