Description

You will design code-compliant HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems that meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Develop mechanical design packages for permitting and construction, including BIM models, engineering drawings, and P&IDs.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines and resolve clash detection issues using Navisworks.
• Write design standards, mechanical details, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Produce high-level cost estimates and material take-offs for various project scales.

Required Skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California.
• 5 to 8 years of experience leading medium to large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Trane TRACE or Carrier HAAP.
• Expertise with IECC, IMC, IPC/UPC, IFC, NFPA, SMACNA, ACGIH, and ASHRAE 62 and 90.1.
• Knowledge of duct sizing, static pressure, piping pressure drop, pump selection, NPSH, and fuel gas pipe sizing.
• Experience designing HVAC for pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, or industrial facilities.
• Design experience with chillers, boilers, heat pumps, dust collectors, heat exchangers, and scrubbers.
• Experience with variable exhaust, VOC abatement, smoke removal, and process exhaust systems.
