Description

You will own the analysis, design, development, and testing of static structural components to meet life, cost, weight, maintainability, and durability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress, strength, vibration, shock, useful life, and fatigue analysis.
• Conduct topological optimization studies to refine component designs.
• Support all testing stages through product design and qualification, including random vibration, shock, and mechanical failure.
• Create detailed analysis reports and lead technical design reviews.
• Collaborate with design teams, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and chief engineers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD design software such as Solidworks or Creo.
• Proficiency in performing structural and fatigue analysis.
• Experience designing parts for machining, casting, forging, welding, brazing, and sheet metal forming.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Proven ability to support physical testing and qualification processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Altair simulation products.
• Knowledge of pyro shock environments.
