Description

You will design mechanical systems and capital equipment for the semiconductor industry, owning the full product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical assemblies using Solidworks, AutoCAD, or ProE, including vacuum vessels, wafer handling systems, and motion mechanisms.
• Perform structural and thermal finite element analysis using Solidworks Simulation or ANSYS to validate designs.
• Detail sheet metal parts, weldments, and machined components, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• Manage engineering change notifications (ECR/ECO/ECN) and maintain data integrity within SAP or similar PLM systems.
• Collaborate on manufacturing processes, defining tolerances and fabrication requirements for production.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems: Solidworks, AutoCAD, or ProE.
• Strong knowledge of machined components, sheet metal design, and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar PLM systems for data management.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and drafting standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B Tech/BS).

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing capital equipment specifically for the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of ion beam and/or vacuum physics.
