Description

You will lead mechanical system design and coordination for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and laboratory projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and production efforts, serving as the mechanical lead on multiple projects.
• Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites alongside architects and project managers.
• Manage project workloads and timelines to ensure all documentation is completed on schedule.
• Participate in design meetings and reviews with governing agencies to ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers and corporate leadership during project reviews.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7-10 years of experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Background working within an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Proven leadership, team coordination, and project management experience.

Preferred Skills

• California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with healthcare and hospital design, including OSHPD/HCAI requirements.
• Experience in sciences, laboratory, and cleanroom environments.
