Description

You will design mechanical systems for capital equipment in the semiconductor industry, owning the product development lifecycle from concept to fabrication.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ProE.
• Develop vacuum vessels, wafer handling systems, and motion mechanisms.
• Perform structural and thermal finite element analysis using SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS.
• Apply ASME Y 14.5 GD&T standards for detailed drafting and tolerance analysis.
• Manage engineering change notifications (ECR/ECO/ECN) and maintain records in SAP or similar PLM systems.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ProE.
• Experience with SAP or other PLM systems for product data management.
• Knowledge of machined components, sheet metal design, and weldment fabrication.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech/BS).

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing capital equipment for the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of ion beam and/or vacuum physics.
