Description

You will design and develop mechanical utility systems for battery manufacturing facilities, focusing on performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for battery manufacturing facilities, ensuring performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Perform QAQC reviews of project interim deliverable packages at 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC stages.
• Ensure all designs adhere to ASME, NFPA, and ASHRAE codes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, process, and controls engineers to deliver integrated mechanical systems.
• Participate in project meetings, provide progress reports, and offer technical recommendations to engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facility utility systems.
• Extensive knowledge of process distribution piping, air compressors, dryers, and vacuum systems.
• Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, pure water, and nitrogen generation systems.
• Proficiency in designing process chilled and hot water systems.
• Working knowledge of ASME, NFPA, ANSI, and ASHRAE standards.
• Experience in system modeling using Pipe Flo or similar simulation software.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with large-scale manufacturing facility design, including new builds or retrofits for high-volume, high-tech processes.
