Description

You will design ASME code stamped pressure vessels and rotating industrial machinery for petrochemical, food, chemical, and pharmaceutical applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and calculations for ASME code stamped pressure vessels and industrial rotating equipment under senior supervision.
• Produce project documentation including code calculations, design reports, fabrication drawings, and machining drawings.
• Create customer drawings, equipment and piping layouts, and general arrangement/assembly drawings.
• Develop conceptual designs for prototypes and design fixtures and tooling for large-scale manufacturing.
• Write installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.

Required Skills

• BSME degree with 3+ years of experience, or MSME with 1+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Draft Sight, and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, machine design, and engineering analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including metal fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly.
• Experience working with industry codes or regulations.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in pressure vessel design, welding, and material selection per ASME Section VIII Div. 1.
• Exposure to ASME Section VIII Div. 2, particularly Part 5.
• Experience with top-down and bottom-up design techniques in SolidWorks.
• Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
