Description

You will lead the design and delivery of high-reliability chassis and cards for compute and networking products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical solutions using sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast components that meet EMI, safety, and compliance standards.
• Perform detailed 2D and 3D tolerance analysis for complex electro-mechanical assemblies using tools like CETol.
• Develop 3D CAD models in Creo or NX and produce detailed drawings applying GD&T principles.
• Collaborate with thermal, hardware, and manufacturing teams to evaluate technical risks and implement cooling solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead issue resolution with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive projects to completion.

Required Skills

• 8–12 years of EMS design experience with at least 8 years in compute or network product design.
• Expertise in 3D MCAD tools, specifically Creo or NX.
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis using Creo Simulate or ANSYS.
• Proven track record designing sheet metal for high-volume production.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data center compute or networking equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing tooling for sheet metal, plastic, and die-casting.
• Familiarity with PDMLink (Teamcenter), Model-Based Definition (MBD), mechanism design, ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes.
