Description

You will manage mechanical building system startups, commissioning activities, and onsite inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities.
• Review product submittals, shop drawings, engineering designs, and contractor RFIs.
• Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee mechanical contractors to ensure adherence to project delivery methods, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct continuous work progress inspections and prepare status reports for Project Managers.
• Manage weekend and plant shutdown work coordination with facilities groups and manufacturing shops.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• 2+ years of experience in construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in design criteria development for mechanical systems.
• Automotive experience involving engine, transmission, vehicle facilities, or similar industrial manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, and arc flash safety.
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards such as IBC, NEC, NFPA, ASME, and ASHRAE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
