Description

You will manage mechanical building system startups, commissioning activities, and onsite contractor oversight for industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities.
• Review product submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, specifications, and contractor RFIs.
• Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee mechanical contractors to ensure adherence to project delivery methods, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct continuous work progress inspections and prepare field engineering status reports for Project Managers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• 2+ years of experience in construction management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in design criteria development for mechanical systems.
• Background in automotive or industrial manufacturing, specifically with engine, transmission, or vehicle facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA requirements, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, and arc flash safety.
• Working knowledge of building codes and industry standards such as IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, and FM.
• Strong ability to manage schedules, utility outages, and plant shutdown work.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
