Mechanical Field Engineer

You will manage mechanical building system startups, commissioning, and on-site construction administration in Troy, MO.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities.
• Review product submittals, shop drawings, engineering designs, specifications, and contractor RFIs.
• Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee mechanical contractors to ensure adherence to project delivery methods, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct continuous work progress inspections and prepare status reports for Project Managers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical field engineering or construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical designing and construction management.
• Deep understanding of OSHA requirements, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, and arc flash safety.
• Working knowledge of building codes and industry standards such as IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCAs, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, and FM.
• Ability to manage weekend and plant shutdown coordination with facilities and manufacturing groups.
• Strong technical communication skills for written and verbal reporting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automotive or vehicle manufacturing environments.
