Description

You split your time equally between mechanical validation and fixture design for consumer wearable devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute mechanical validation tests on wearable products during the development phase.
• Convert mechanical requirements and specifications into specific test cases and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Design mechanical and electromechanical fixtures or systems for internal system validation testing.
• Procure, assemble, and validate test setups, including performing gage R&R to confirm measurement capabilities.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and project plans while driving design reviews with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX for CAD.
• Experience with mechanical validation and physical design.
• Ability to conduct detailed design work and create 3D models and drawings.
• Experience in technical documentation and report generation.
• Competency in using MATLAB, Python, or JMP.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
