Description

You will design, code, and debug software to optimize and harden the Linux Kernel for hardware platforms and public cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and debug software using C, C++, Python, and Go.
• Optimize and harden the Linux Kernel for diverse hardware and cloud environments.
• Integrate protocol stacks, vendor drivers, chipsets, and HBAs to ensure performance and uptime.
• Extend and implement virtualized or user-space data paths.
• Support x86 platform bring-up and upstream Linux patches.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with remote teams at a product company.
• 4-7+ years of experience developing on Linux or other *NIX variants at a product company.
• Expertise in C, C++, or Python.
• Deep experience with Linux Kernel or device driver development.
• NVMe drive firmware development experience.
• Familiarity with x86 CPU architectures and server technologies including BMC, BIOS, EEPROM, SAS, PCI-e, and I2C (including SMBUS and PMBUS).
• Experience developing system diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with hardware platform bring-up, debugging, and design feedback.

Preferred Skills

• Storage industry experience.
