Description

You will design, build, and optimize Mendix applications for insurance and financial services, owning the full delivery lifecycle from requirements to release.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into detailed Mendix specifications, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Build and configure Mendix modules, microflows, and pages to deliver intuitive user experiences for complex insurance processes.
• Optimize existing applications by refining data models, refactoring logic, and improving query performance to reduce operational effort.
• Collaborate with quality engineering to define test scenarios, support defect triage, and validate fixes against acceptance criteria.
• Document functional behavior and configuration decisions to ensure knowledge transfer and smooth onboarding for new team members.

Required Skills

• 3-6 years of professional experience in Mendix development, including data modeling, microflow design, and front-end configuration.
• Strong proficiency in relational databases and query optimization.
• Practical experience in end-to-end software delivery within Agile teams, including refinement, testing, and release activities.
• Ability to partner with operations teams to monitor application health and implement preventive improvements.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices to protect sensitive customer and policyholder data.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly report progress, risks, and dependencies to project partners.
• Experience guiding peers by sharing reusable components and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of life and annuities insurance concepts, including policy management, claims handling, and underwriting.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns for connecting Mendix apps with core systems and external services.
• Mendix Intermediate or Advanced Developer certification.
