You will manage dementia-related education, outreach, and program administration within the aging network.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize, plan, and oversee dementia education programs to meet increasing outreach demands.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Alzheimer's Disease Program Initiative (ADPI) grant.
Train community members on ADPI and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD).
Oversee and train Dementia Health Navigators (DHN) and act as a liaison for the Dementia Services Coordinator.
Develop and maintain partnerships with state agencies and update the statewide dementia resource page on the TCAD website.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in human services, mental health, public health, or gerontological program administration.
OR a Master's degree in Gerontology, Human Services Administration, Psychology, Public Health Administration, Sociology, Social Work, or related field with 1 year of professional experience.
Experience in planning, administering, evaluating, or assessing human service or mental health programs.
Ability to provide technical assistance and support to program staff and subcontractors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Access.
Capacity to become a certified CPI Master Trainer in Dementia Capable Care (DCC).
Experience in professional development and stakeholder education.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing federal or state grants, specifically ADP Initiative (ADPI) or ACL grants.
