Description

Manage the physical and logical infrastructure of the Meraki test lab environment. Own the design, maintenance, and documentation of lab topologies.

Responsibilities

• Procure, rack, and stack lab equipment, replacing failed hardware promptly to maintain uptime.
• Configure and maintain network switches, routers, wireless access points, servers, firewalls, PDUs, and Ixias traffic generators.
• Provision hosts with various operating systems and implement automation scripts for provisioning and backups.
• Support firmware engineers by executing test cases, investigating bugs, and collaborating with automation engineers.
• Maintain software security, apply vulnerability patches, and manage remote console and power control for on-site equipment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in lab administration or network operations.
• Hands-on experience with network switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Experience managing servers, firewalls, and PDUs.
• Ability to work with Ixias traffic generators.
• Proficiency in provisioning hosts across various operating systems.
• Skill in writing automation scripts for system provisioning and repetitive tasks.
• Experience managing remote console and power control for on-site equipment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with third-party vendors to validate bug fixes and new driver patches.
• Degree in any field of study.
