Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Micro Focus COBOL and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs based on business requirements and ISAM file systems.
• Build and maintain automation workflows using Python and R, including data extraction and transformation.
• Integrate RPA solutions with APIs, databases, and third-party systems while troubleshooting production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in code reviews.
• Create technical documentation and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Micro Focus COBOL development with strong expertise in procedural and structured programming.
• 8+ years of experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• 5+ years of experience with RPA tools and proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with R programming for automation and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ISAM file handling, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Familiarity with version control, SDLC processes, and system integration techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
