Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Micro Focus COBOL, ISAM file systems, and Python/R automation frameworks.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs to meet business requirements.
• Manage data storage and retrieval using ISAM file systems and optimize performance.
• Build automation workflows and reusable components using Python and R.
• Integrate RPA solutions with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Micro Focus COBOL development (procedural & structured).
• 8+ years of experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• 5+ years of experience with RPA tools.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with R programming for automation and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ISAM file handling and file-based systems.
• Understanding of system integration, debugging, and performance tuning.
