Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable microservices for consumer-facing applications. You own the full lifecycle from conception to production support, ensuring high quality, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure object-oriented web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write high-quality code with TDD, unit testing, and mocking frameworks like Mockito.
• Collaborate with DevOps to establish build pipelines and container management.
• Add instrumentation and monitoring for production health and scalability.
• Scope effort, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing secure object-oriented web services.
• Strong proficiency in Java and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Experience with microservice architecture and containerization (Docker).
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, or Gradle.
• Familiarity with API management solutions for exposing and securing APIs.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with message brokers like Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with distributed caches (Redis, Hazelcast) or search engines (ElasticSearch).
