Description

You will design, build, and maintain a scalable suite of microservices for consumer-facing applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test microservices with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Write high-quality code using Test Driven Development (TDD) and participate in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps to build delivery pipelines, manage Docker containers, and implement production monitoring.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of features from specification and scoping to deployment and production support.
• Identify technical risks and communicate trade-offs to architects and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Proficiency in TDD and unit testing using mocking frameworks like Mockito or EasyMock.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or private cloud environments.
• Familiarity with web service frameworks such as Jersey, Apache CXF, RESTEasy, or Restlet.
• Knowledge of build and CI tools like Maven, Jenkins, or Gradle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed caching using Redis, Coherence, or Hazelcast.
• Familiarity with exposing and securing APIs via API management solutions.
