Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Microsoft 365 AI & Desktop Engineering team. This role focuses on enabling, configuring, integrating, and supporting Microsoft AI capabilities across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Agents, and related services.
This position is ideal for a Microsoft 365 engineer, platform administrator, or technical professional who wants to expand their expertise in AI technologies while working within a large enterprise environment.
This is not a traditional software development role. The successful candidate will spend more time configuring platforms, evaluating capabilities, designing integrations, troubleshooting solutions, documenting implementations, testing functionality, and supporting enterprise adoption than writing application code. A development mindset and technical aptitude are important, but deep software engineering expertise is not required.
A significant portion of the role involves understanding how Microsoft technologies connect to enterprise systems, identifying business use cases, navigating governance and compliance requirements, and helping implement secure and scalable AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, deploy, and support Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft 365 AI capabilities.
• Implement and maintain solutions built with Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Agents.
• Configure integrations between Microsoft AI technologies and enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and other business applications.
• Support the development and management of Copilot skills, connectors, and data access solutions.
• Evaluate new Microsoft AI features and capabilities and assess:
o Enterprise applicability
o Integration requirements
o Security and compliance considerations
o Deployment and operational impacts
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, deployment recommendations, and operational procedures.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, use cases, and validation activities while documenting results.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, compliance, infrastructure, and business partners to implement solutions that align with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot platform, configuration, integration, and operational issues.
• Support adoption and operational readiness of emerging Microsoft AI technologies.
• Help design how users, systems, data sources, and AI capabilities interact within the Microsoft ecosystem.
What This Role Is Not
This position is not focused on:
• Building custom software applications from scratch

Desired Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone who:
• Has experience working within large enterprise environments.
• Understands how enterprise technologies and systems integrate.
• Possesses strong technical problem-solving skills and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Can balance technical work with documentation, testing, governance, and operational processes.
• Has a strong interest in Microsoft AI technologies and emerging capabilities.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them within enterprise environments.
• Understands that successful enterprise technology delivery often requires navigating compliance, security, governance, and operational requirements in addition to technical implementation.
This role can be an excellent next step for someone with prior development or engineering experience who has transitioned into platform engineering, administration, or solution enablement and wants to build practical experience with AI technologies.
