Description

Lead or independent consultant implementing Microsoft Purview for data governance and catalog management.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage the Unified Data Catalog, including collections, classifications, glossary terms, and metadata curation.
• Implement Data Quality rules and define metrics for accuracy, completeness, and consistency using quality scorecards and reports.
• Set up Data Maps and scans by configuring sources, scheduling ingestion, and troubleshooting scan issues.
• Visualize data lineage and interpret catalog insights to support data management objectives.
• Onboard diverse data sources across on-premises and cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in a lead or independent capacity.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Purview.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance or data platform projects, preferably with enterprise clients.
• Expertise in Microsoft Purview Unified Data Catalog configuration.
• Proficiency in implementing Data Quality (DQ) frameworks and metrics.
• Experience managing Data Maps and automated scans.
• Technical background in data management, data architecture, or business intelligence.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
