Description

You will manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute database architecture roadmaps, including version upgrades, patch testing, and deployment.
• Manage high availability, disaster recovery, and proactive capacity planning.
• Perform database migrations with minimal downtime and conduct functionality, stress, and load testing.
• Monitor production systems, analyze findings, and implement database health standards.
• Participate in a 7x24 production on-call rotation on a weekly basis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server development and production support DBA.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and tuning.
• Experience with Windows environments and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of database concepts and fundamentals.
• Experience using DB tools such as SQL Developer, Toad, or Enterprise Manager.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and present designs to technical groups.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Postgres.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Linux servers.
