Description

You will manage and optimize MS SQL Server environments within large infrastructures. You own the full database lifecycle, from installation and configuration to performance tuning and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Execute core database procedures including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Perform expert-level installation, configuration, patching, and remote monitoring of MS SQL Server RDBMS.
• Profile server resource usage to optimize and tweak performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across application, network, database, server, and storage tiers.
• Implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks using scripts and jobs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of MS SQL Server DBA experience.
• Deep understanding of MS SQL Server underlying storage engines.
• Hands-on experience with replication, Always On, and mirroring.
• Strong SQL coding, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSIS, and SSRS.
• AWS Cloud Services experience including EC2, RDS, and Aurora.
• Cloud deployment experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Terraform.

Preferred Skills

• Secondary experience with DB2 UDB, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, or Cassandra.
• Experience with configuration management tools like SCCM, Puppet, or Ansible.
