Description

Manage and optimize MS SQL Server environments, owning the full database lifecycle from installation to disaster recovery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute core database procedures including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Perform expert-level installation, configuration, patching, and remote monitoring of MS SQL Server.
• Profile server resource usage to optimize performance and troubleshoot complex cross-tier issues.
• Implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks using scripts and jobs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of MS SQL Server DBA experience.
• Deep understanding of MS SQL Server underlying storage engines.
• Hands-on experience with replication, Always On, and mirroring.
• Strong SQL coding, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSIS, and SSRS.
• Cloud deployment experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Terraform.

Preferred Skills

• Secondary experience with DB2 UDB, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, or Cassandra.
• Experience with configuration management tools like SCCM, Puppet, or Ansible.
