Description

Manage Microsoft SQL Server environments across global infrastructures. You will handle installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance on Windows and Linux. This role focuses on database security, performance tuning, and automation to support highly transactional workloads.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DBMS environments on Windows and Linux.
• Design and implement database security controls to safeguard data.
• Partner with engineers to optimize databases for highly concurrent, transactional systems.
• Build automation and self-service tools using PowerShell to reduce manual processing.
• Manage capacity planning, production support, and infrastructure scaling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database design, replication, and stored procedures.
• Deep expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Detailed knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and Clustering.
• Ability to configure and monitor SQL Server replication with complex patterns.
• Experience migrating SQL Servers from on-premise to the cloud.
• Proficiency with AWS.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex global application issues.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with AWS cloud migrations.
