Description

You will manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments across multiple versions and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server on 32-bit and x64-bit operating systems.
• Execute database migrations, software upgrades, and the application of service packs and patches.
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery using Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Clustering.
• Perform database maintenance including backups, restores, index rebuilds, and integrity checks.
• Tune system performance by optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Support end-users and customers via phone and written correspondence to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• 3-10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration (SQL Server 2008R2 through 2017).
• 3+ years of experience with database backup, restore, recovery, linked servers, and maintenance plans.
• 3+ years of experience in customer support, technical support, or IT consulting roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing Always On, Database Mirroring, and Replication models (Snapshot, Transactional, Merge).
• Experience configuring and maintaining Active/Passive Clusters.
• Proficiency with SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, and Query Analyzer.
• Expertise in performance tuning using SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows performance monitor, DMVs, and Resource Governor.
• Ability to use DBCC, Data collection Reports, and Activity Monitor for troubleshooting.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Crystal Reports and custom scripting for performance reporting.
