Description

You will design and maintain microwave systems through path analysis, frequency coordination, and technical documentation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform microwave path analysis using Pathloss 5, digitized topographic maps, and field surveys.
• Execute channel selection and interference studies, including frequency coordination via the MICS database.
• Generate engineering design submissions for new microwave transport systems and hardware or software upgrades.
• Create RE work orders for third-party towers and rooftops, and prepare Industry Canada license application documentation.
• Provide technical support to Network Operations, contractors, and vendors during system implementation or fault resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in microwave design.
• Proficiency with Pathloss 5.
• Experience with Path Analysis and microwave system design.
• Competency in AutoCAD.
• Experience using Maps and digitized topographic data.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to manage frequency coordination and interference studies.
• Experience generating technical engineering submissions and license applications.
