Description

Manage middleware administration for critical banking platforms, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer WebSphere Application Server, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and production support.
• Design WebSphere infrastructure and topology to support high availability and failover capabilities.
• Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases with precision.
• Manage software patching and updates to mitigate risk and ensure platform stability.
• Act as a J2EE architect to provide best practice recommendations for application development.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Proficiency with middleware products: WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache.
• Strong knowledge of J2EE and Java.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Scripting skills in shell, jython, and perl.
• Understanding of network infrastructure including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load-balancers, firewalls, and proxies.
• Experience with release deployment tools such as Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, and Celestial.
• Ability to interface with application teams, testing teams, and external vendors throughout the SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container frameworks.
• Knowledge of Splunk, Dynatrace, or Ping Access Administration.
• DevOps experience.
