Description

You will own the administration, configuration, and reliability of IBM MQ infrastructure across enterprise environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer IBM MQ Queue Managers, including clusters and high-availability setups.
• Manage MQ objects such as queues, channels, listeners, and topics to support application needs.
• Troubleshoot message flow, channel failures, and connectivity issues while optimizing performance.
• Implement security configurations including SSL/TLS, CHLAUTH, OAM, and certificate management.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Bash to support deployments and monitoring.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Middleware and IBM MQ administration (v8.x/v9.x).
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Deep knowledge of MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and failover testing.
• Proficiency in Shell, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with SSL/TLS, MQ security policies, and certificate management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or IBM MQ Explorer.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Participation in incident, problem, and change management processes.
