Description

You own the administration and operational support of core messaging infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 and weekend support for systems within the architecture.
• Administer IBM Websphere MQ, including creating Queue Managers, channels, and queues.
• Manage the installation, upgrading, patching, and recovery of MQ and Solace environments on Windows and Linux.
• Configure Solace for redundancy, fault tolerance, and protocol bridging (MQTT, REST, AMQP).
• Develop Python and Ansible playbooks to automate messaging infrastructure tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM MQ installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Solace installation, configuration, and administration.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Experience setting up SSL communications for both MQ and Solace.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft O/S, SUN Solaris, and Linux.
• Knowledge of MQ processes, triggers, channels, and clustering.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nastel and Kafka.
• Working knowledge of Solace CLI for object configuration.
