Description

You will develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts, batch jobs, and scheduling workflows for midrange environments including NonStop, Stratus, OpenVMS, Unisys, and iSeries.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated job scheduling and batch processing using Control-M, CA Autosys, Tivoli, or native schedulers.
• Develop and maintain scripts in TACL, VMS DCL, JCL, CL, Shell, Python, or PowerShell to automate system tasks.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and automation workflows to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, job errors, and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in automation programming for NonStop, Stratus, OpenVMS, Unisys, or iSeries systems.
• Proficiency in TACL, VMS DCL, JCL, CL, Shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA Autosys, or Tivoli.
• Strong understanding of batch processing, file transfers (SFTP, FTP), and workload automation.
• Experience working with databases including SQL, DB2, Oracle, Enscribe, RMS, or DMSII.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, logging tools, and automation frameworks.
• Ability to document processes and resolve complex job errors.
