Description

Lead the migration of mainframe applications to the UniKix platform through software rehosting. You will design and implement solutions to transition legacy systems, analyze code patterns, and architect modernized environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement migration solutions to transition legacy mainframe applications into software equivalent systems.
• Analyze COBOL, JCL, and Assembler code patterns to determine optimal migration strategies.
• Architect modernized systems using cloud technologies and rehosting methodologies.
• Develop Linux scripts to implement migration glue and automate processes.
• Mentor teams on application transformation using modern frameworks and test strategies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in mainframe technologies.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, and IMS.
• Proficiency with CLIST, REXX, PL/1, and Easytrieve.
• Experience with UniKix or Microfocus software for mainframe rehosting.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies for rehosting mainframe systems.
• Ability to use Linux scripting for migration implementation.
• Strong understanding of legacy and current technology architectures.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and propose advanced programming solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microfocus/Clarity (UniKix) environments for large, complex mainframe applications.
• Experience managing Scheduler and Security migrations.
• Deep expertise in Assembler, PL/1, or Mainframe Infrastructure.
