Description

You will own the design, implementation, and optimization of complex data integration solutions using Mirth Connect.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mirth channels, including functions, routes, and maps to transform and translate healthcare messages.
• Perform advanced manual installations and configurations of Mirth Connect without relying on standard install wizards.
• Design and execute performance testing processes and test plans to evaluate the scalability of data integration pipelines.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose technical optimizations.
• Document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, standards, and guidelines for data exchange protocols.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on, expert-level experience with Mirth Connect.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language: C, Python, or JavaScript.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards: HL7, FHIR, CCD, and CDA.
• Proficiency with data formats and transformation tools: XSLT, JSON, XML, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to conduct deep research into project-specific technical issues and external products.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with public health informatics, including laboratory data and surveillance systems.
• Knowledge of Health Information Technology ecosystems: EMR/EHR, PACS, LIIS, or RIS.
• Hands-on experience with HL7 V2.X, LOINC, and SNOMED coding systems.
