Description

You will manage complex data integration workflows and Mirth Connect configurations to support public health partners.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop Mirth functions, routes, and maps to transform and translate messages.
• Perform manual installations and configurations of Mirth Connect without using the install wizard.
• Design performance testing processes and test plans to evaluate the scalability of data integration tools.
• Document technical specifications, diagrams, and standards relating to data exchange.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimizations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mirth Connect at an expert level.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with C, Python, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of HL7, XSLT, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, FHIR, CCD, and CDA.
• Proven ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with public health informatics, including laboratory and surveillance.
• Knowledge of Health Information Technology and Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR, PACS, LIS, RIS).
• Hands-on experience with HL7 V2.X, LOINC, and SNOMED.
