Description

You will manage complex data integration workflows and technical implementations using Mirth Connect.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop Mirth functions, routes, and maps to transform and translate messages.
• Perform manual installations and configurations of Mirth Connect without relying on wizards.
• Design performance testing processes and test plans to evaluate data integration scalability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and propose optimizations.
• Document technical specifications, diagrams, and standards for data exchange.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mirth Connect at an expert level.
• Proficiency in Java programming.
• Experience with C, Python, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in application interface technologies including HL7, XSLT, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, FHIR, CCD, and CDA.
• Ability to perform manual Mirth installations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with public health informatics, including laboratory and surveillance systems.
• Knowledge of Health Information Technology and Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR, PACS, LIS, RIS).
• Hands-on experience with HL7 V2.X, FHIR, LOINC, and SNOMED.
