Description

Manage complex data integration workflows using Mirth Connect to support public health partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Mirth functions, routes, and maps to transform and translate messages.
  • Perform manual installation and configuration of Mirth Connect outside of the install wizard.
  • Design performance testing processes and test plans to evaluate data integration scalability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and propose optimizations.
  • Document technical specifications, diagrams, and standards for data exchange.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mirth Connect at an expert level.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with C, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Expertise in application interface technologies including HL7, XSLT, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, FHIR, CCD, and CDA.
  • Strong ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with public health informatics, laboratory, and surveillance.
  • Knowledge of Health Information Technology, EMR/EHR, PACS, LIS, or RIS.
  • Hands-on experience with HL7 V2.X, FHIR, LOINC, and SNOMED.
