Description

Design, build, and operationalize an enterprise ML platform on AWS SageMaker Unified Studio, migrating from fragmented toolchains to a governed, unified lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure SageMaker Unified Studio, including domain setup, project provisioning, persona-based roles, and multi-environment promotion workflows.
• Build MLOps pipelines using SageMaker Pipelines for data extraction from Snowflake, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and model registration.
• Manage SageMaker Model Registry for cross-account promotion, versioning, immutability, and lineage tracking.
• Configure identity and access management with Okta SSO, SailPoint entitlements, and secure execution roles for pipelines.
• Implement model serving via real-time endpoints and batch workflows, plus monitoring for data drift and performance degradation.

Required Skills

• 10-15 years of software engineering experience focused on cloud infrastructure or ML platform operations.
• 5+ years hands-on with AWS, including deep expertise in Amazon SageMaker (Studio, Pipelines, Model Registry, Endpoints, Feature Store).
• 3+ years building and operating production MLOps pipelines covering training, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and rollback.
• Experience with SageMaker Unified Studio or Studio Classic, specifically domain/project setup, blueprints, and multi-tenant configuration.
• Proficiency with MLflow or equivalent experiment tracking for auto-logging parameters, metrics, and artifacts.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Strong IAM design skills for ML platforms, including execution roles, service roles, cross-account access, Lake Formation, and SSO/SAML.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience configuring searchable data catalogs with access-level visibility and lineage tracking.
• Proficiency with observability tools like CloudWatch and Datadog for platform logging and custom images.
